On August 24, a Russian drone struck an apartment building in the central part of Chernihiv. Fourteen people were injured, including two minors.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi.
A fire broke out in the building as a result of the strike. Emergency services worked at the scene, while heavy smoke complicated the firefighting efforts.
Three of the injured were hospitalized. Another 11 people sustained minor injuries and received medical assistance at the scene. The minors injured in the Russian attack are 12 and 17 years old.
According to preliminary information, there were no fatalities as a result of the attack.
The Air Force reported a jet-powered UAV heading toward Chernihiv at 11:45. An explosion was heard at around 11:50.
