Riots erupt in South Korea after martial law is introduced (video)

After the declaration of martial law, military equipment appeared on the streets of Seoul, and riots broke out near the parliament building.

If the opposition manages to get into the parliament and hold a voting procedure, the martial law can be canceled according to the Constitution. This is being prevented by security forces who are implementing the presidential decree.

During martial law in South Korea:

• any political activity is prohibited,
• the work of political parties is suspended,
• political rallies are prohibited,
• all media and publishing houses are under state control,
• medical workers participating in the strike must return to work within 48 hours,
• violators of martial law face arrest.
