Occupants shot two Ukrainian prisoners in Kursk region

The Russian military committed another war crime by shooting two unarmed Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Kursk region of Russia.

This incident was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets on Telegram. According to him, Russian troops allegedly shot at least two Ukrainian prisoners of war at close range in the Kursk region.

Lubinets emphasized that prisoners of war should always be protected, including from acts of violence. Instead, Russia has once again committed a war crime that seriously violates the Geneva Convention and international humanitarian law.

The Ombudsperson added that he had sent letters to the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross regarding this crime committed by the Russian military.
