Nine people were killed in a massive attack on Ternopil on November 19. Twenty-two people are known to have been injured. An emergency search and rescue operation is underway at the site.
This was reported by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
“Today, the western regions of the country came under attack. As of now, nine people are known to have been killed in Ternopil, and another 22 people have been injured,” the statement said.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service are clearing the debris and dealing with the aftermath. Emergency centers are operating.
Additional infrastructure has also been deployed to support people, including warming centers and food distribution points.
