More than 50,000 Ukrainians have been denied border crossing since the beginning of the year

Almost 55,000 Ukrainians have been denied border crossing in the first 11 months of 2024, said Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

In total, 32.3 million people crossed the border, a slight decrease compared to the same period in 2023, when the number of people who crossed the border was 32.8 million.

Of the 32.3 million people, 28 million were citizens of Ukraine. According to Demchenko, the number of border crossings in both directions is almost equal – about 14 million people left and entered Ukraine.

At the same time, the largest passenger flow is observed on the border with Poland, which accounts for about 50% of the total number of crossings.
