Since the beginning of the full-scale war, from February 24, 2022, to August 1, 2024, 41 senior officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been discharged from military service for health reasons.
This information was provided by the Main Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in response to a request from Radio Liberty.
According to the response of the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, these are officers of the highest ranks, such as major generals, lieutenants generals and colonels generals who held strategic command positions.
The request concerned exactly those generals who were retired based on the conclusions of military medical commissions.
In addition, one senior military officer was recruited for military service during the specified period.
