On Sunday, 30 March, rains are expected in most of Ukraine, with winds mostly easterly, 5-10 m/s, gusts of 15-20 m/s at night in the eastern regions, the Ukrainian Weather Service reports.
‘At night in the southern part, most of the central and eastern regions and Transcarpathia, moderate (in Donetsk region, sometimes heavy) rains, during the day in the central, eastern, northern regions and Transcarpathia, sometimes light rains; in the rest of the territory, no precipitation,’ the Ukrhydrometeorological centre said.
The wind will be mostly easterly, 5-10 m/s, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in some places at night in the eastern regions.
The temperature at night will be 2-7° Celsius, in the southern part 6-11°; during the day 10-15° (in the central regions in some places 5-10° Celsius), in the southeastern part 13-18°. In the Carpathians, moderate wet snow at night, light rain in some places during the day; temperatures at night from 3° C to 2° C, during the day 2-7° C.
In Kyiv, on 30 March, there will be no precipitation at night, and light rain in some places during the day. The wind will be mostly east, 5-10 m/s. The temperature will be 4-6°C at night and 12-14°C during the day.
According to the Borys Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory in Kyiv, on 30 March, the highest daytime temperature was 21.5 in 1890, the lowest nighttime temperature was -12.4 in 1942.
On Monday, 31 March, moderate (at night in Transcarpathia, sometimes significant) rains in the western and eastern regions, and in Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia regions, with light rains in some places during the day; no precipitation in the rest of the country. At night and in the morning in the southern part there will be fog. The wind will be east, northeast, 5-10 m/s.
Temperature at night will be 2-7° Celsius, in the southeastern part 6-11° Celsius; during the day 8-13° Celsius, in the southern part 11-16° Celsius. In the Carpathians, moderate weather (sleet at night, rain during the day); temperatures at night will be from 3° C to 2° C, during the day 2-7° C.
No precipitation in the capital on 31 March. East, northeast wind, 5-10 m/s. The temperature will be 4-6°C at night and 10-12°C during the day.
