Around 6 am, an enemy shell hit a multi-storey building in Kupyansk. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Military District Oleh Syniehubov.
According to him, the shell hit the 9th floor of a residential apartment building, setting fire to balconies from the 2nd to the 7th floor and four apartments.
The fire raged over an area of 100 square metres.
The building was partially damaged and the glazing of windows in three apartment buildings was damaged.
The shelling injured a 67-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman.
