The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has denied claims by Russian officials that fighting in the Kursk region has ended. The Ukrainian operation on Russian territory is still going on.

‘The statements by representatives of the aggressor state regarding the alleged end of hostilities in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation do not correspond to the actual situation,’ the General Staff said in a statement.

The agency emphasised that Defence Forces units continue to carry out combat missions in the border areas of the Kursk region. Despite the difficult conditions, Ukrainian troops are holding their positions and inflicting losses on the enemy.
