On the night of August 26, Russian forces struck Chernihiv with a drone. A woman and a four-year-old girl were killed, while a 14-year-old girl was injured.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi.
As a result of the Russian strike, a private residential house caught fire in Chernihiv.
As the Chernihiv City Council clarified, during search operations rescuers found the bodies of a 49-year-old woman and a four-year-old girl. Another child — a 14-year-old girl — was injured and taken to a medical facility.
The house was destroyed by fire. Outbuildings were also damaged.
In addition, a fire broke out in a nearby shop.
