Fierce fighting south of Pokrovsk: enemy attacks several times a day

Soldiers of the 210th rifle battalion ‘Berlingo’ are holding their ground under intense enemy attacks in the direction of Shevchenko village, a fighter with the call sign ‘Balu’ reports.

According to him, two or three attacks on Ukrainian positions are carried out daily. The ratio of forces is unequal: there are 20-30 enemy soldiers for every 6-8 Ukrainian defenders.

Russian forces are using the tactic of massed attacks with heavy losses among their infantry. ‘At this rate, they will be in Pokrovsk in a week,’ Balu said.

The occupants are using rapid assaults to try to advance. The enemy is actively using equipment: tanks for cover and infantry fighting vehicles to transport soldiers.

Despite the exhausting attacks, the defenders are holding their positions and inflicting serious losses on the enemy. The defenders say that the assaults of this scale are unprecedented in the war.

‘May God give us the strength to resist such an orc invasion,’ Balu concludes his post on Telegram.

The Shevchenko direction is located south of Pokrovsk, and its defence is an important element in deterring the advance of Russian troops in this sector.
