The Russian embassy in Sweden said that on the night of 25 May, a paint can was dropped from a drone on the grounds of the diplomatic mission.
‘The incident is particularly cynical given that the drone operators used a glass container, which could have caused serious injury to people when dropped from a height,’ the embassy said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
The Russian diplomatic mission notes that ‘such attacks have been ongoing for over a year’ and emphasises that ‘the Swedish authorities will be responsible for all possible consequences of such incidents.’
A statement published by the embassy said that Russian diplomats had repeatedly contacted the police and the country’s Foreign Ministry, demanding that the safety and inviolability of the diplomatic mission be ensured, but ‘there have been no results.’
