DIU: Russia deploys over 7,000 DPRK soldiers to Ukrainian borders

Russia has deployed more than seven thousand soldiers from North Korea to areas near Ukraine. The redeployment from the Primorsky Territory of the Russian Federation took place in the last week of October.

This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

The intelligence agency stressed that the North Korean troops were moved with the help of at least 28 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Moscow armed Kim Jong-un’s soldiers with 60 mm mortars, AK-12 rifles, RPK/PKM machine guns, SVD/SVF sniper rifles, Phoenix ATGMs and RPG-7s.

‘Also, the North Koreans or, as they are called in the Russian occupation army, ‘special Buryats’, were given some night vision devices, thermal imagers, collimator sights and binoculars,’ the DIU added.
