In February 2025, Russian troops occupied 192 square kilometres of Ukrainian territory, a significant decrease compared to previous months.

According to the community’s analysts, after the peak occupation in November, a gradual decline in the pace of advancement was observed in December, January and February.
Despite the loss of momentum, which reached the level of July 2024, the enemy continues to pay a high price in terms of human losses.
‘The enemy’s activity has decreased, but it has not gone away, the Defence Forces repel hundreds of attacks every day,’ the statement said.
