The number of people killed in the Russian strike on a shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih has risen to 15. The number of injured has also increased to 130, including 23 children.
This was reported by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
The injured are receiving medical care, and hospitals are supplied with everything necessary. According to preliminary data, 27 of the injured are in serious condition, including three children.
Earlier, Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, said that a 14-year-old girl with a traumatic brain injury was being transferred by an intensive care team to the regional children’s hospital.
According to police, in the first minutes after the strike on one of Kryvyi Rih’s largest shopping and entertainment centers, police officers and rescuers began evacuating visitors, providing first aid and extinguishing the fire. At that moment, Russian forces carried out a second strike.
A search and rescue operation is ongoing at the scene.
