Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces said they struck 21 energy facilities in temporarily occupied territories over three days, from August 26 to 28. The targets included the Luhansk Thermal Power Plant, electrical substations in Crimea and the Luhansk, Donetsk and Kherson regions, as well as gas distribution stations.
This was reported by Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
According to him, the strikes were a continuation of the USF operation “Crimean Switch Off” and its new direction, “Skhid-Vyo.”
Among the facilities hit, Brovdi listed:
- the Luhansk TPP “Shchastia” in the city of Shchastia;
- the 220 kV “Alchevska” substation in Alchevsk;
- the 150 kV “Tymofiivka” substation in Kherson region;
- the 150 kV “Henicheska” substation in Henichesk;
- the 110 kV “Kovylne” substation in temporarily occupied Crimea;
- the “YUDV” substation in Lisne and the “VAOK” substation in Volodymyrivka, Donetsk region;
- the 110 kV “Luhansk” substation;
- the “Novoozerna,” “Krainie” and “Nyva” substations in Crimea;
- the “Pavlivka,” “Dmytrivka,” “Voikove Traction,” “Novotroitska” and “Novoazovska” substations in Donetsk region;
- the “Staropetrivka” and “Marynivka” gas distribution stations in Zaporizhzhia region;
- the “Rozdolne,” “Novopavlivka” and “Partyzany” gas distribution stations in Crimea.
According to Brovdi, the strikes involved units of the 1st Separate USF Center, the 427th Separate Brigade “Rarog,” the 413th Separate Regiment “Raid,” the “Phoenix” group, the 412th Brigade Nemesis and the 414th Brigade “Birds of Magyar.”
The USF commander said that from July 1 to August 28, Ukrainian drone units struck 315 energy nodes in Crimea and other temporarily occupied territories as part of the “Crimean Switch Off” operation.
Brovdi also warned that strikes on energy infrastructure in the occupied territories would continue, describing them as a response to Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy system.
