In Krasnodar, Russia, around a hundred soldiers who had previously deserted their units attempted a mass escape from the grounds of a military commandant’s office.

Russian Telegram channels reported the incident, citing preliminary information. The soldiers, referred to as “SOChniki”, were being held in a fenced-off area within the commandant’s premises. On the evening of the incident, they reportedly broke through the barrier and reached the main territory of the military facility.

Initial reports stated that the deserters were unarmed and that no injuries were reported. Later, sources clarified that seven soldiers managed to escape beyond the compound. Four of them were soon apprehended, while three remain at large.
