The situation on the frontline remains difficult. The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to take measures to disrupt the aggressor’s offensive plans, actively destroying enemy equipment and personnel.
Since the beginning of the day, 152 combat engagements took place. The enemy was most active in the Siversk, Kurakhove, Pokrovske and Vremivske sectors.
Enemy artillery and mortars struck at communities in Sumy and Chernihiv regions, in particular in the areas of Bleshnya, Porozk and Slavgorod. In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy is trying to increase pressure on our positions, in particular in the direction of Vysoka Yaruga and Vovchansk, and suffered several defeats from Ukrainian defence.
- In the Kupyansk sector, the occupants stormed the positions of Ukrainian forces four times in the areas of Zahryzove and Lozova. The fighting continues.
- In the Liman sector, Russian troops launched several attacks near Novoyehorivka and other localities, but Ukrainian units successfully repelled the enemy’s offensive.
- The defence forces also successfully repelled dozens of attacks in the Siversk sector, particularly in the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnekamianske. The enemy is actively using aviation, and Siversk came under air strikes.
- In the Toretsk sector, the enemy launched several attacks on Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, but two of them were repelled. The enemy is actively using bomber aircraft, in particular in Krymske.
- In the Pokrovsk sector, despite the enemy’s active attempts to break through the defences, Ukrainian troops repelled 13 attacks, and another 7 battles are ongoing. The enemy continues to bomb civilian towns, including Oleksandropol and Mykolaivka.
- In the Kurakhove sector, the aggressor launched 23 attacks near Staryi Terny and Kurakhove, 15 of which were successfully repelled. The fighting continues, and the enemy does not stop air strikes on the places where Ukrainian troops are concentrated.
- In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 12 enemy attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopolske, Zelenivka and Makarivka.
- In the Orikhiv sector, the occupants continue shelling civilian infrastructure in the government-controlled area.
- The enemy tried to storm our positions in the Prydniprovskyi sector twice without success.
- The operation in the Kursk region is ongoing, with enemy aircraft and artillery continuing to strike at Ukrainian territory. Today, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 attacks by the aggressor, and fighting continues in 17 locations.
