This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a summary as of 16:00 on 8 April. Since the beginning of the day, 94 combat engagements have been registered in the frontline. The most intense fighting continues in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy made 42 assault attacks, 10 clashes are still ongoing.
The occupants do not stop shelling the border of Sumy region – Bratenitsa, Prokhody, Velykyi Prykil, as well as Ugroidy, Turya, Pokrovka, Miropilske, Dmitrovka and Mala Rybytsia came under attack.
In the Liman sector, the enemy attacked eight times in the areas of Hrekivka, Katerynivka and Kolodyazi, five of the battles are ongoing. In the Toretsk sector, three clashes are ongoing, and the enemy tried to break through 14 times. Attacks near Chasiv Yar, Kurdyumivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Zahryzove were also repelled.
Seven attacks were registered in the Novopavlivka sector, five battles are still ongoing. The enemy fired on Huliaipole, Voskresenka, Maliivka and Sichne, and launched an air strike on Kozatske in the Prydniprovsky sector.
Ukrainian forces are holding the line, repelling enemy attacks and holding their positions. The situation remains unchanged in other areas.
